iPad vs. Kindle

The following image is a comparison of 2 landing pages for pictured products. Browser resolution was pegged to 1024x768, given that it is the bare minimum these days. The screenshots where taken using Paparazzi which uses WebKit to render pages.

Amazon’s landing page did not fare well even at 1920x1200, producing a 21987 pixel long page —  a wall of text that endlessly scrolls and doesn’t enhance information gathering or usability in any meaningful way.
